They measure acceleration across a wide frequency band, which makes them the right choice for detecting bearing defects and gear mesh problems on pumps, compressors, fans and gearboxes. Sensitivity is the main selection decision: 100 mV/g suits most machines, while slow-turning equipment needs a higher output to resolve the low-frequency content.
