A mobile workstation earns its place by removing walking. If a technician is crossing a plant several times a job to fetch a tool, a meter or a drawing, the unit that brings the bench to the work pays for itself in labour long before anything else is counted — which is why the useful specification starts from the task rather than from the furniture. List what has to be on it: tools, a laptop or tablet, a printer, test equipment, consumables, a small vice. That list decides the deck size, the drawer mix and whether power is needed on board. Then the floor decides the castors, and this is where these units most often disappoint. Small hard castors are fine on a smooth workshop slab and fight the operator on expansion joints, cable ramps, gratings and yard surfaces; larger soft-tyred wheels roll over them. State the floor, the travel distance and whether it goes outside.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
