Emergency lighting is specified in lux on the floor, not in fittings on a drawing. EN 1838 sets the performance: escape routes must reach at least 1 lux along the centre line, open areas larger than 60 square metres at least 0.5 lux across the floor for anti-panic lighting, and the ratio of highest to lowest illuminance must not exceed 40 to 1 — a uniformity rule that quietly rejects layouts relying on a few bright fittings. EN 50172 governs the system and its verification, and EN 60598-2-22 the luminaire itself. State the duration your authority requires.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
