Flow meter selection is driven by the fluid before anything else — conductivity, viscosity, solids content and whether the line ever runs partially full. Electromagnetic, Coriolis, ultrasonic, vortex, turbine and differential-pressure technologies each fail in different conditions, so a quotation against a line size alone is guesswork. Custody transfer duty adds approval requirements that materially change both cost and lead time.
