Industrial temperature sensors cover RTDs, thermocouples and thermistors, each suited to a different range, accuracy and response requirement. In process plant they are almost always supplied as an assembly — element, sheath, thermowell and head transmitter — so quoting the element alone rarely matches what the site needs. Insertion length and thermowell design in particular have to be taken from the pipe or vessel drawing.
