A rescue boat is only as good as the arrangement that launches it, and the launching system is usually the larger part of the project. The davit or crane has to put the boat in the water safely with the vessel or the platform moving, recover it with a casualty aboard, and be maintained and load tested on a schedule — so the enquiry has to describe the installation, the freeboard, the deck strength at the position and the existing arrangement, not only the boat. Recovery is the harder direction and the one to think about first: getting a person out of the water and back onto the deck defeats many arrangements that launch perfectly well. Then the boat itself, where the choice is largely rigid hull against inflatable collar against a fast rescue craft, decided by sea state, the response distance and how many people it must take. State the crew, the casualty capacity, and the certification the installation works under.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
