    Hydraulic Hoses

Sourced and supplied across Saudi Arabia

Bore is the specification that quietly costs money on a hydraulic hose, because it is chosen for fluid velocity rather than to match whatever fitting is on the port. Undersized hose raises velocity, velocity makes pressure drop, and pressure drop becomes heat in the oil — so a machine fitted with hose one size small runs hotter, works its cooler harder and ages the fluid and the seals, none of which looks like a hose problem. Size the bore against the flow, then confirm the pressure rating against the system relief setting rather than the working pressure, since it is the surge that bursts hose. Two build points follow. The assembly is only as good as the crimp, and hose, fitting and die must come from one matched system — a fitting from one maker on hose from another holds on the bench and lets go under cycling. And it should never be installed taut, because a hose changes length slightly under pressure and needs slack to do it in.

The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.

Hose standard and typeSuch as SAE 100R1, 100R2, or an EN 853 or EN 856 type
Bore sizeChosen for fluid velocity, not just for the fitting size
Working pressureSystem pressure, and whether it cycles or has surge
Overall assembly lengthFitting face to fitting face, with the route allowance
End fittingsThread form and size at each end, straight or elbowed
Fitting orientationThe angle between the two ends on an elbowed assembly
Matched systemHose, fitting and crimp die must come from one system
Fluid and temperatureMineral oil, water glycol, or a fluid needing a special liner
Bend radiusThe tightest bend on the route
Abrasion protectionSpiral wrap or sleeve where the hose can rub
ApplicationMachine, mobile plant, or a hose station with many assemblies
TraceabilityState if assembly records or test certificates are required
