A disposable respirator is rated by how much of a test aerosol it stops, and the three European grades are further apart than they look. Under EN 149, FFP1 filters at least 80% of airborne particles, FFP2 at least 94% and FFP3 at least 99%. That is the filter; the seal is the other half, and a mask that does not fit the wearer's face leaks around the edge regardless of grade. Beards defeat all of them. State the contaminant, the exposure concentration and whether fit testing is part of your procedure.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
