SCBA is required whenever the atmosphere cannot be filtered — oxygen deficiency, unknown contaminants, or concentrations beyond any cartridge. EN 137 sets the requirements for self-contained open-circuit compressed air apparatus with a full face mask. The purchase is never just the set: cylinders need a test regime, compressors or a filling contract have to exist before the sets are useful, and the whole system needs a maintenance and record-keeping routine. Buying apparatus without deciding how cylinders will be refilled and certified is the failure that leaves sets unusable within a year.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
