Bollards divide into two jobs that are often confused on enquiry. A delineator bollard guides traffic and is meant to deform or fall over on impact without damaging the vehicle. A security bollard is designed to stop one, and is rated by the vehicle mass and speed it must arrest. Ordering a flexible bollard for perimeter protection, or a crash-rated one for lane guidance, is expensive in different ways. State which job it is doing.
