Padding is not vibration protection, and this is the category where that distinction is written into a standard. EN ISO 10819 measures how much vibration a glove actually transmits to the palm across two frequency bands, and a glove only qualifies as anti-vibration if it transmits less than the unprotected hand in the mid band and under 0.6 of it in the high band. A thickly padded glove with no test result may transmit more vibration, not less. State the tool, the daily trigger time and whether hand-arm vibration exposure is being formally managed.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
| Tool type | Breaker, grinder, chipping hammer, impact wrench, drill |
|---|---|
| Daily exposure time | Trigger hours per shift — drives the whole selection |
| Vibration frequency | State if tool vibration data is available from the manufacturer |
| Standard required | EN ISO 10819 certification, if your procedure requires it |
| Palm padding material | Gel, viscoelastic polymer, or air-cell construction |
| Finger coverage | Full-finger, half-finger, or palm-only padding |
| Grip requirement | Padding reduces grip — state if precise control is needed |
| Mechanical rating | State if EN 388 cut or abrasion performance is also required |
| Cuff and closure | Wrist support or adjustable closure, if required |
| Sizes and quantity | Pairs per size — fit affects performance directly |
| Wash and reuse | State laundering expectations; padding degrades with washing |
| Consumption rate | Expected replacement interval |
