Kernmantle rope carries its strength in a protected core inside a braided sheath, which is what makes it the rope used for rope access and rescue rather than general lifting. The distinction that matters commercially is low stretch semi-static rope for access and rescue against dynamic rope for lead climbing β using dynamic rope on a work positioning system introduces bounce that the system was never designed for. Diameter must match the descender and rope grab already in use.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
