General purpose nylon rope is used for hauling, lashing, barrier lines and hoisting light loads by hand. It is not fall protection: a fall arrest or work positioning line must be certified kernmantle rope to EN 1891 used with matched hardware, and substituting general rope into a fall protection system is a serious and common site error. For lifting duty state the working load limit you need rather than the breaking strength, since the safe working load is a fraction of it.
