The hard part of an emergency shower in the Eastern Province is not the shower, it is the water temperature. ANSI/ISEA Z358.1 asks for 75.7 litres per minute for a full fifteen minutes at a tepid 16 to 38 degrees Celsius, and a supply line running exposed across a yard in July does not deliver tepid water — it delivers water hot enough that a casualty steps out of the stream, which is the specific failure the fifteen-minute figure exists to prevent. Solving it means a tempering valve, a shaded or insulated run, a recirculating loop, or a tank unit with active cooling, and that decision belongs in the enquiry rather than in commissioning. One more point worth settling early: the European series splits by setting, and EN 15154-1 is written for laboratories while parts 5 and 6 cover overhead and multiple-nozzle showers for other sites, so quoting part 1 for a process plant specifies the wrong document.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.

|---|---|
| Water supply | Plumbed mains, gravity tank, or self-contained tank unit |
| Tepid water method | Tempering valve, insulated line, recirculation, or active cooling |
| Supply temperature | State the actual line temperature at the worst hour of the day |
| Available flow and pressure | The line must sustain 75.7 L/min for 15 minutes |
| Combination unit | Shower only, or shower with eye or eye/face wash |
| Mounting | Floor-standing pedestal, wall, ceiling, or mobile skid |
| Materials | Galvanised, stainless or coated — state the corrosion exposure |
| Hazardous area | State any Ex requirement for heat tracing or alarms |
| Alarm and monitoring | Flow switch, beacon, sounder or BMS signal |
| Waste water | Drain, sump or containment — state where the water goes |
| Testing access | Weekly activation is expected; state how it will be run off |
| Quantity and locations | Units, and the travel time from each hazard point |
