Most hand tool orders are lists, and the fastest way to get a sensible offer is to send the list with the quantities and the trades it is for. Two categories inside it, though, are not ordinary tools and should be called out separately because they exist to prevent specific accidents. Insulated tools for live electrical work are individually tested and marked to IEC 60900 for use up to a thousand volts, and an ordinary tool with a plastic-dipped handle is not the same thing however similar it looks — it has not been tested and carries no marking. Non-sparking tools in copper-beryllium or aluminium-bronze exist for work in classified areas where a steel tool striking steel could ignite an atmosphere, and they are softer, wear faster and cost more, which is the trade. Everything else is a matter of quality against price, and there the useful question is how the tools are issued and whether breakages are replaced against a warranty.
