Solenoid valves switch flow electrically and are specified far more often by their electrical and duty characteristics than by their size. Direct-acting designs work from zero differential pressure, while pilot-operated designs are cheaper and more compact but need a minimum pressure difference to open β installing one on a low-differential line is a common cause of a valve that simply will not shift. Coil duty rating matters wherever the valve stays energised for long periods.
The more of this you send, the closer the first quotation lands.
